On this excursion you will:
-Arrive at Rancho Grande®, a beautiful working ranch and sisal factory.
-Jump onto your single-rider all terrain vehicle and follow your guide through the shallow jungle.
-Explore the area maneuvering around the curves and winding trails.
-Make a stop in the middle of the sisal plantation for refreshments before continuing your ride.
-Enjoy some time to relax, take a swim in the pool or bask in the sunshine back at Rancho Grande®.
-Be transported back to your awaiting ship.

Note: Minimum age is 16 years; maximum weight is 364 lbs. Guests must present a valid driver’s license to the Tour Operator.

Pregnant women and guests with back/neck injuries, epilepsy or heart/respiratory conditions are not permitted on this excursion.

Closed-toe shoes are required. Light comfortable clothing, long pants, sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellant, and backpack for personal belongings are recommended.

The terrain on this off-road adventure will be very bumpy, uneven, dusty and/or muddy; you will get dirty. A helmet and goggles are provided and must be worn at all times while on the ATV.

Buggy Beach Break

What could possibly be more fun than exploring the town of Progreso in a dune buggy?
On this excursion you will:
-Take a 30-minute bus ride to a private beach club where your buggy is waiting.
-Hop in the 4-seater vehicles.
-See the heart of Progreso as you ride caravan-style through this unique coastal town.
-Drive through a cross country field to experience the thrill of off-roading in these vehicles.
-Return to the beach club where you will have free time to relax in the pool, swim in the ocean, and enjoy refreshing beverages.
-Reboard your bus for the transfer back to your ship.

Note: The vehicles cannot be purchased independently, they are not exclusive as there will be 4 guests per vehicle.

Minimum age is 6 years. Guests wishing to drive must be 18 years of age and present a valid driver’s license to the Tour Operator.

Buggies have manual transmission (stick-shift). Maximum weight per buggy is 800 lbs.

Chichen Itza Mayan Ruins

Tour Chichen Itza, one of the most important archeological sites on the American continent and once home of the great Mayan Empire.
On this excursion you will:
-Begin with a scenic and informative 2-½ hour bus ride.
-Arrive at the Ruins and be led through the legendary city, extending over 6 square miles with hundreds of structures.
-Explore the pyramid of Kulkulcan, the ball court, the mystical cenote, the temple of the warriors and the observatory.
-Enjoy a box lunch as you board the motor coach for your return journey to the ship.

Note: This is an active excursion involving a lot of walking and stair climbing. The Mexican government charges a $5 fee for the use of video equipment inside the ruins (no tripods).

Hats, sunscreen, sunglasses and bottled water are highly recommended.

There are no rest stops on the drive to the ruins, however buses are equipped with bathrooms.

Corona Beach Break

On this excursion you will:
-Begin with a bus ride past all of the village’s points of interest while your guide entertains you with colorful stories on your way to Progresso’s main square.
-Then, continue on to the famous Corona Beach where you can relax in lounge chairs and small “palapas” in the sun or the shade.
-Enjoy refreshing beverages and sway to the gentle rhythms of tropical music.
-You'll have the option to purchase a nice meal of fresh seafood or Mexican specialties at the restaurant.
Lounge on the beach, go for a swim, or take a stroll in the sand.

Note: Guests will receive a 10% discount for any meal ordered at the Corona Beach restaurant. Swimsuit, beach towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellant, and a belt bag for personal belongings are recommended. 

Buses will depart the beach for the pier at one-hour intervals for the last two hours of the tour. If you choose to stay longer, your return transportation will be at your own expense.

Discover the Yucatan and the Mayan World

-Leave Xcambo for a visit to the town of Dzemul. See the modern day village where traditional Mayan palapas sit next to Spanish influenced buildings.

Dune Buggy Exploration & Beach

Explore the landscape, relax on the beach and discover the history of Mexico on this dune buggy adventure and beach getaway.
On this excursion you will:
-Begin with a 10-minute bus ride from your ship to the end of the pier where you dune buggy awaits.  
-Hop into your customized VW Dune Buggy convertible (4 guests per buggy) and follow the caravan as you make your way into the Mayan savannah and the ruins of Xcambo.  
-Built over 2,000 years ago to control the production of salt, Xcambo was an important city in the Mayan trade route.  
-You’ll have an opportunity to explore the ruins and see untouched sites, fully restored pyramids and buildings still under reconstruction while your guide shares the history of the region.  
-Continue your drive through the Yucatan peninsula’s countryside en route to the Reef Club Beach Resort where you will have free time to relax on the beach, swim in the pool, or play beach volleyball.  
-Enjoy a snack buffet at the resort before climbing back into your dune buggy for the drive into town.  
-Once in town, you’ll leave your buggy at the designated location and walk three blocks to the Progreso marketplace.  
-You will have the option to stay at the marketplace where you can shop for local handicrafts and other souvenirs or take the shuttle bus back to your ship.

Dzibilchaltun Ruins

Go on an excursion of the archaeological site of Dzibilchaltun (dzeeble-chal-toon), one of the most important ceremonial centers of the Mayan world.
On this excursion you will:
-See many important buildings of this amazing Mayan culture.
-Learn about the many archaeological and astronomical wonders of this site, including one of the most important archeo-astronomical phenomena which occurs during the solstice and the equinox.
-Visit the quaint New Mayan World Museum, which houses many beautiful pieces.

Note: This excursion is ideal for those who want to experience the thrill of exploring a Mayan ruin without investing the entire day as required by the distance of the other locations.

Horseback & Beach Break

Saddle up for a Mexican horseback adventure! 
On this excursion you will:
-Meet your guides at the pier for a 40-minutes ride to an exclusive beach club.
-Have a safety briefing and meet your horse, specially chosen according to your riding experience
-Ride your horse for approximately 40 minutes on a dirt path carved through the area's low shrub jungle and lagoon and then along the beach.
-Have approximately 1½ hours to enjoy the exclusive beach club after your ride. Lounge by the pool, go for a swim or simply relax in a hammock with a drink.
-Enjoy the resort’s long warm stretch of beach, lounge chairs, umbrellas and volleyball.
-Have the option to be dropped off in the Progreso Marketplace to explore the colorful shops or return directly to your ship.

Bottled water and soda after the horseback ride is included. Guests wishing to stay at the Marketplace will be responsible for your return transportation to the ship.

Kayak Adventure

-Picture yourself playing golf in the same land where the great Mayans played ball more than 2,000 years ago.

-The club is situated in the ancient Mayan city of Dzibil-Chaltun and features native jungle landscaping.  
-Playing over 6,500 yards from the tips, the course has several doglegs and interesting par-threes.  
-In addition, the club also features relatively small greens, which presents a challenge for golfers of all abilities.

On this exciting and exploratory excursion you will:
-Meet your bilingual guide who will escort you to the awaiting motor coach.

-Arrive at the Welcome Station in the quaint and picturesque town of Telchac along the coastline.

Rail Cart to Cenote Underwater Exploration

On this amazing excursion you will:
-Enjoy an approximate 1¾-hour ride to an old hacienda.

-Divide into two smaller groups and board a horse-drawn rail cart.
-Be transported, on carts, which were used to transport Agave cactus leaves, to the first cenote, Chelentun.
